3. How the Draw Tool Handles Your Data
This section is the most important one for most users of this Site.
Your entry lists stay in your browser. When you type or paste names, ticket numbers, or other entries into the draw tool, that data is processed entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your raw entry list is never transmitted to The Web Design Ninja's servers and is never stored by us.
When you execute a draw, the following information is transmitted to and stored by The Web Design Ninja to create the verifiable draw record:
- Entry count the number of entries in your pool.
- Entry list hash a one-way SHA-256 cryptographic hash of your sorted entry list. This is a mathematical fingerprint. It cannot be reversed to recover the original names or entries, and we cannot see your entry list from this hash.
- Random seed the cryptographic random seed used for the draw.
- Timestamp the date and time of the draw.
- Draw result the winning name(s) or number(s) produced by the draw.
- Draw ID the unique identifier for the draw record.
